Mak Freeman

I'm Mak Freeman, a UK based photographer, storyteller and someone who's always been fascinated by the human experience. My journey hasn't exactly been a straight line. I came to the UK 15 years ago with dreams of becoming an actor and artist. Along the way, life took me through some difficult chapters, including homelessness, uncertainty and plenty of moments when I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. But somehow, all those experiences led me to photography. Today, I specialise in fitness, transformation and confidence photography, but I've never believed my work is simply about taking beautiful pictures. It's about people. Their stories, their struggles, their achievements and all the little things that make us human. I believe we live in a world that's constantly rushing, always chasing the next achievement, the next goal, the next version of ourselves. Sometimes we forget to appreciate who we are right now. That's what I want to create through my photography. A space where people can slow down, be themselves and celebrate how far they've come. I'm still figuring life out, just like everyone else. Still learning, still making mistakes and still trying to become a better photographer and human being. If there's one thing I hope people take away from working with me, it's not just a photograph they're proud of, but a reminder that their story matters. Because sometimes the most beautiful thing we can capture isn't perfection. It's simply being human.
